Privacy Policy

We collect only what we need to operate the Service:

• Account data: your email address and display name when you sign up.
• Site data: the URLs you connect to the Service for crawling and monitoring.
• Crawl data: technical SEO data from the sites you connect (page titles, meta descriptions, headings, links, structured data). This is publicly accessible information.
• Search Console data: if you connect Google Search Console, we access aggregate click, impression, and position data for your site.
• Payment data: processed entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.
• Usage data: basic analytics (page views, feature usage) via Cloudflare's privacy-first analytics.

• To provide the Service — crawling your sites, generating readouts, tracking AI visibility.
• To communicate with you — service updates, readout emails, billing notifications.
• To improve the Service — aggregated, anonymised crawl data helps us improve detection accuracy.
• We do NOT sell your data. We do NOT use your data to train AI models. Your crawl results belong to you.

We use trusted providers to operate the Service. They process data on our behalf:

• Stripe — payment processing (see Stripe's privacy policy)
• NoCodeBackend — database hosting (EU-based servers)
• Cloudflare — CDN, DNS, and security (see Cloudflare's privacy policy)
• Brevo — transactional email delivery (see Brevo's privacy policy)

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate data.
• Delete your data ("right to be forgotten").
• Export your data in a portable format.
• Withdraw consent at any time.

To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@cleoseo.com. We respond within 30 days.

We use minimal cookies:

• Theme preference: stores your dark/light mode choice (localStorage, not a tracking cookie).
• Authentication: stores your session token (necessary for the Service to function).
• We do NOT use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics cookies.

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we permanently delete all associated data within 30 days. Crawl results are deleted with your account. Aggregated, anonymised data may be retained for service improvement — this cannot be linked back to you.

We take security seriously:

• All data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest.
• We use Cloudflare's security suite (WAF, DDoS protection, Bot Fight Mode).
• Payment data is handled entirely by Stripe (PCI DSS Level 1 certified).
• We never store API keys, passwords, or credit card details on our servers.
